Starting in January 2017, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, through its director Sabra Daici, took over the chairmanship of the Warsaw branch of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), one of the most significant association of its kind in Europe, bringing together 36 cultural institutes and diplomatic agencies, with statutes of members and associate-members.

The cluster EUNIC Warsaw is quite active in the Polish cultural life, setting up numerous manifestations, especially in the fields of literature, cinema and foreign languages.
Among the major events planned for this year, mention should be made of European Languages Day, the European Experimental Short Film Festival, the project Poems of the City dedicated to European contemporary poetry, the Spoke’N’Word Festival dedicated to chanted poetry, or the meeting Sunday in the Country, within the International Film Festival T-Mobile Nowe Horyzonty de la Wrocław, dedicated to young film critics in Europe.
