For the 11th time, ICR Stokholm is a partner of the Göteborg International Film Festival which this year will take place from January 25 to February 4. For this year`s edition, the festival selected four Romanian films:
Touch me Not / Nu mă atinge-mă (directed by
Adina Pintilie, Romania, Germany, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, France, 2018), which will be screened in the
Visionaires section,
Infinite
Football / Fotbal infinit (directed by
Corneliu Porumboiu, Romania 2018), which is programmed in the
Masters section,
Thou Shalt Not Kill / Să nu ucizi (directed by Cătălin Rotaru and
Gabi Virginia Șarga, Romania, 2018), which is included in the
New Voices section and
”I Do Not Care if We Go Down in History as Barbarians / Îmi este indiferent dacă în istorie vom intra ca barbari” (directed by
Radu Jude, Romania, Germany, Bulgaria, France, Czech Republic, 2018), which will be included in the
Masters section.
The participation of the director Adina Pintilie at the festival takes place with the support of ICR Stockholm. Her film
Touch Me Not, winner of the Golden Bear at the 2018 berlinale, will be screened four times during the festival. On the bridge between fiction, documentary and visual art, experimenting both at the content level and at the film language one, the film is a personal exploration of the idea of intimacy, of the human need for authentic contact.
After the film screenings, Adina Pintilie will attend the Q7A session, where she will share her experiences with the film and will answer the viewers` questions.
The Romanian director will also be part of the
Nordic Competition jury, for the most important section of the festival.
