HipTrip Travel Film Festival (27-30 October, 2016), the only travelling film festival in Romania, is to bring this year to Bucharest over 20 films from all over the world, and also workshops and related events on travelling.

The section
Focus: On the Road (powered by Vivolis.ro), dedicated to
road-movie genre, comprises this year 7 films from countries such as Norway, Iraq, Argentina, the Netherlands, Qatar, France, Germany, China, Brazil.
The festival will make its debut on Thursday, 27 October, with the film
El Clasico (directed by Halkawt Mustafa), Iraq's proposal to the 2017 Oscars' Best Foreign-language films, the story of two who embark in a dangerous trip to Spain.

This Summer Feeling / Ce sentiment de l’ete (France-Germany, directed by Mikhaël Hers) and
Les Orges / Ogres (France, directed by Léa Fehner).
Irish explorer and filmmaker, member of the Royal Geographical Society of London and specialised in long-distance travelling, Leon McCarron returns to la HipTrip Travel Film Festival to deliver an interactive production video workshop for two days, on 29 and 30 October, under the title “Bucureștiul viu” / “Bucharest Alive”. During this workshop, the participants will make shorts about Bucharest that will be screened at the Festival's closing gala.
The cost for attending the workshop amount to RON 140 for those registering until 19 October, and to RON 220 RON for any subsequent registrations.
