Groupama Asigurări is carrying on the tradition of getting involved into supporting domestic cinema by insuring the films
Sieranevada (directed by
Cristi Puiu),
Bacalaureat (directed by
Cristian Mungiu), and
Câini (directed by
Bogdan Mirică), through a barter system. The total of the insurance premiums amounts to approx. EUR 20,000.
“Cinema has been for Groupama Asigurări, ever since its setting up on the Romanian market, a priority sponsorship field. We strive to stay close to the people who contribute to the development of this domain in Romania, from festival organisers to directors,” a declarat Georgiana Miron, Marketing and Communication Director of Groupama Asigurări stated.
Cinema is one of the main sponsoring directions of the entire Groupama corporation, the Gan Foundation for Cinema being one of the main private partners of the French cinema, contributing for over 30 years to the affirmation of new talents.
The partnerships concluded locally, in barter system, for the making of films included liability and electronic gear insurances, fire and other calamities insurances, CASCO and RCA, cargo and collective accident insurances, totalling around EUR 8,000 for the feature film
Sieranevada, EUR 5,300 for
Graduation and EUR 6,000 for
Dogs.
