The Films in the Competition of the KINOdiseea 2018


     The 10th edition of the KINOdiseea International Children Film Festival for children will take place in Bucharest, from November 8 to 13, 2018. Nine films will be in the competition for the festival trophy.
     This year, the feature films and the short film series for children will be screened at Cinema Eforie, Cinema Gloria, Cinema Pro and in a few schools of the District 3 of Bucharest.
     The opening gala of the 10th edition will take place on November 8, 2018, starting with 19:00, at Cinema PRO, with the preview of the animation White Fang, directed by Alexandre Espigares. The films that KINOdiseea brings in front of its audiences are Romanian premieres and some of them are dubbed live or have subtitles.
     The feature films in the Kinodiseea 2018 program aret: Vitello (Denmark, 2018, directed by Dorte Bengston), The Children of Genghis/Copiii lui Genghis (Mongolia, 2017, directed by Zolbayar Dorj), The Breadwinner/Parvana – O copilărie în Afganistan (co-production Ireland, Canada, Luxemburg, 2018, directed by Nora Twomey, executive producer Angelina Jolie), The Falcons/Șoimii (Iceland, directed by Bragi Thor Hinriksson), Supa Modo (Germany, Kenya, directed by Likarion Wainaina), Los Bando (Norway, Sweden, directed by Christian Lo), Captain Morten and The Spider Queen/Căpitanul Morten și Regina Păianjen (Ireland, Estonia, Belgium, directed byKaspar Jancis, Riho Unt and Henry Nicholson) and The Little Witch/Micuța Vrăjitoare (Switzerland, Germany, directed by Michael Schaerer).
     Outside the competition, there will be a special screening of the film The Sentries / Străjerii (directed by Liviu Mărghidan), which will be followed by a Q&A attended by the film crew that worked on the first Romanian film for children after 1989.
     Like every year, KINOdiseea will also have free workshops for the little ones, where they will learn things about acting, film directing, virtual reality or film art design. The complete program of the workshops will be available on kinodiseea.ro. last year, Aarc made a report on the acting workshop, which had as its trainers the actresses Diana Cavallioti amd Ioana Flora.
     The Awards Gala of the festival will take place on November 13, 2018, at 19:00, at Cinema Eforie and it will be followed by a surprise film.
     The KINOdiseea International Children Film Festival is organized by the Metropolis Cultural Association, with the support of the Romanian Film Centre, co-financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund, with the support of the Romanian Filmmakers Union and financed by the Mayor House of the District 3.
