Romanian films at The Days of Rzeszów Town

This year, The Days of Rzeszów Town will have Romania and Romanian culture as theme, on the occasion of celebration 10 years since the twinning between the cities of Rzeszów and Satu Mare.
The event is known under the name Paniaga Celebration, after the name of the main pedestrian artery in the centre of the town built in the 14th Century, one of the oldest and most representative streets of the city.
The Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw is supporting the Romanian participation to this traditional manifestation by setting up, at the local Zorza movie theatre, the Romanian Film Caravan between 3-7 May 2017, and by presenting the open-air photography exhibition, Horezu Ceramics – Immaterial Cultural Heritage of the World, in the outer space of the Polish Radio – Rzeszów branch, an area in the immediate vicinity of Paniaga Street.
The Romanian cinema programme includes the feature films Bacalaureat / Graduation (directed by Cristian Mungiu), Comoara / The Treasure (directed by  Corneliu Porumboiu),  Aferim! (directed by Radu Jude),  Două lozuri / Two Lottery Tickets (directed by Paul Negoescu), Box (directed by  Florin Șerban), Poziția copilului / Child's Pose (directed by Călin Peter Netzer) and a group of the latest Romanian shorts: Mă cheamă Costin / My Name Is Costin (directed by Radu Potcoavă), 4:15 PM Sfârșitul lumii / 4:15. The End of the World (directed by Cătălin Rotaru și Gabi Virginia Șarga),  O noapte în Tokoriki / A Night in Tokoriki (directed by Roxana Stroe), Toate fluviile curg în mare / All Rivers Run To the Sea (directed by Alexandru Badea), Pipa, sexul și omleta / Pipe, Sex and Omellete (directed by Ana-Maria Comănescu), Mamă, tată, vreau să vă spun ceva / Mom, Dad, I've Got Something to Tell You (directed by Paul Mureșan).
Apart from these two events, the Romanian presence at The Days of Rzeszów Town will be completed by the concerts delivered by young tenor Norbert Nagy and by the blues and rock band ASH Band of Satu Mare, as well as by exhibitions of photography of Romania taken by Polish photographers, and by tastings of Romanian traditional products.
