“Très Court” International Film Festival is getting ready to start


     The 18th Edition of the “Très Court” International Film Festival will be held in Bucharest, during 3-5 June 2016, being organised by the Embassy of France in Romania and by the French Institute in Romania, in partnership with Orange.
     Amateurs or professionals, the makers of the very brief shorts (maximum 3 minutes) are coming from all around the world reflecting the contemporary society in all its diversity. „Très Court” Festival will set up simultaneous screenings on the 5 continents, in 80 cities from 30 countries.
     In Romania, this edition will be divided in four very distinct selections: the international competition, “Paroles de Femmes” and “Très Courts Familial”. The fourth section will be the national selection “Around the Très Courts România”, including the best very-short films made in Romania over the latest years. The audience will be invited to vote their favourite film, with the directors from Bucharest attending.
     In Bucharest, the screenings will be held at the French Institute (77 Dacia Blvd.). Terrace “Chez Elvire” will host outdoors the national selection and the international competition 1 (Friday, 3 June 2016, at 21.30), as well as the selection “Paroles de Femmes”, and the international competition 2 (Saturday, 4 June 2016, at 21.30). Elvire Popesco Cinema will host screenings of the “Jeune Public” program (Saturday, 4 June 2016, and Sunday, 5 June 2016, at 11.00).
     The cost of one ticket amounts to RON 5, and students will be admitted free of charge, on the condition they register in advance.
