KineDok powered by One World Romania prepares 16 documentary screenings in 11 towns in the country.
The KineDok Caravan arrives in towns such as Miercurea Ciuc, Timișoara, Reșița, Satu Mare, Odorheiu Secuiesc. During the summer, the city of Cluj moves the screenings to the Parcul Feroviarilor, and the screenings in Arad take place in the courtyard of the County Library “A.D. Xenopol”.
In Târgu Mureș the documentary
Balkan Champion / Campionul din Balcani will be presented. It will be quite a special event because the special guests of the evening will be the two protagonists of the film – the “champion” himself - . Kincses Előd, who is a lawyer and defender of the human rights and his wife, the university professor Maria Kincses-Ajtay. Together with them we will revisit the events that took place on that “black March” in 1990 in Târgu Mureș when the inter-ethnic clash between Romanian and Magyar ethnic groups had a huge impact on the entire region. Back then, Előd Kincses was the vice president of the Mureș County Council for National Union and he was one of the important figures during the conflict. Forced by the tensions in the country, Kincses spent 6 years in exile in Budapest, apart from his family. After that he returned and tried to incorporate his principles and his vision in the new politic context. The event is scheduled for July 4, 2018, starting with 20:30, at J'ai Bistrot Târgu Mureș.
