Unfolding for the third consecutive year, Kinedok powered by One World Romania, a programme created with a view to facilitate documentary film distribution in Central and Eastern Europe, is continuing its screenings in July.
During this period, 22 screenings are to be held in the following cities: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Miercurea Ciuc, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Târgoviște, Brăila. Two new locations are to start the KineDok film nights, J’ai Bistrot of Târgu Mureș and Old Boys Pub in Tășnad.
Film lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy carefully selected documentaries on freedom, music, the unseen facets of tourism, family or the passion for cinema.
Steam on the River, one of the two Slovakian productions, presents the story of three jazz singers who run away from a world of prejudices and social fears, to a Western world full of hope. On one side, music is whispering to them new rhythms and opens their way to fame, but
on the other way, their age and fear of ephemeral are playing melancholy undertones over the 80 minutes of film. The feature may be viewed in Odorheiul Secuiesc and Miercurea Ciuc, and over the next months, the three musicians are to tell their story in other Romanian towns as well.
