At the same time with the opening of the new cultural season, the programmed of related events of the itinerary exhibition Minunata lume nouă – Case ale migranților români / The Wonderful New World – Houses of the Romanian Migrants, will be started as well, which may be visited in the Tancred Bănățeanu Hall of the Romanian Farmer National Museum, until 27 September 2017.

The exhibition targets at pointing out various aspects of migration and constructions boom, illustrating their consequences on the villages and cultural landscape of Țara Oașului, Maramureș and Bucovina.
Minunata lume nouă – Case ale migranților români brings together over 250 pictures, taken by photographer Petruț Călinescu, artist Matei Bejenaru, as well as by researchers who documented this theme in Romania and in the destination countries.
Furthermore, the Farmer Museum Cinema scheduled the screening of four documentary films analysing the international Romanians' migration

theme from different perspectives. The films have English subtitles.
Aici… adică acolo / Here… That is, There may be viewed on Friday, 1 September, at 18.30, the screening being followed by a talk with director
Laura Căpățână Juller and editor
Dana Bunescu.
During the following weeks, the first two parts of the trilogy
The Last Peasants will be screened (directed by Angus Macqueen – on Saturday, 9 September, at 18.30),
Căutându-l pe Patrick / Searching for Patrick (directed by
Daniel Djamo, Oana Popan – Wednesday, 20 September, at 18.30) and
Waiting for August (directed by
Teodora Ana Mihai – Sunday, 24 September, at 18.30).
The project is being developed by the Central and South-Eastern Europe Department within the European Cultures Museum of Berlin and by the Romanian Cultural Institute of Berlin, in cooperation of the Romanian Farmer National Museum, and was funded by Die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien and by the Romanian Cultural Institute of Bucharest.
