Cristi Puiu, the Best Director at Encounters Berlinale 2020

     Cristi Puiu wins the best Director Award of the section Encounters de la Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival for Malmkrog. 
     The actor Frédéric Schulz-Richard received the award for him. The film is produced by Anca Puiu and Milan Stojanovic; it is a Romanian production (Mandragora, Iadasarecasa), co-produced by Sense Production, Cinnamon Films (Serbia), Film i Väst, Doppelganger (Sweden), Bord Cadre Films (Switzerland), Produkcija 2006 Sarajevo (BIH), Sisters and Brothers Mitevski (Macedonia).
     This is the second award that Cristi Puiu received in berlin, after the Golden Bear for the short film Cigarettes and Coffee / Un cartuș de Kent și un pachet de cafea, at the 2004 edition.
