Well-known in Romania as the pioneer of the Roma social message theatre, Alina Șerban, in the past ten years, succeeded in bringing to the attention of the public stories about the experience of the Roma people. Celebrating her first 10 years of career, the first screening of the film
Forgiving ticket, the short film that marks her film directorial debut.

The First Cut version of the film can be seen on November 11, from 19:00, at Cinema Pro. The screenplay is written by Alina Șerban and it presents
a story from the period of the Roma people slavery in the Romanian Principalities. The action takes place around 1856 and it tells the story of the slave Dincă, a son loved by two mothers: the slave mother and the boyar mother. The film was produced by Mobra Films and the Untold Stories Association.
After the short film presentation, a special screening will follow:
Alone at my Marriage / Singură la nunta mea, Alina Șerban`s debut as a feature film protagonist. The film had its international premiere at the Cannes International Film festival in 2018, included in the ACID ACID (Association pour le cinéma indépendant et sa diffusion) programme. For this part, Alina Șerban received the Best Actress Award at the Festival International du Film de Femmes de Salé.
The short film is a project of the Untold Stories Association and it is financed through the program “În stare de bine”, supported by Kaufland Romania and implemented by the Civil Society Development Foundation and co-financed by the Government of Romania – the Department for Interethnic Relations.
