“Aliyah DaDa” at the DAM Cultural Centre of Istanbul

     On the anniversary of 100 years since the birth of the Dadaist movement, ICR Istanbul proposes the documentary Aliyah DaDa, directed by Oana Giurgiu.

     The film follows the path of the Romanian Jews immigration to Palestine. Thus, it brings light on their relations with the Romanians during the over 130 years since the first Jews took to Palestine. The context in which these immigration waves took place reveals a critical moment of Romania's and Eastern Europe's history.
     Aliyah DaDa will be screened on 29 July 2016, at 20.30, at the DAM Cultural Centre, an unconventional space created in the middle of Beyoğlu district of Istanbul.
