Between 3-18 September, 2016, the CINEIMPACT Film Academy will take place, an international Art&Social Cinema programme dedicated to creative documentaries and innovations in fiction, non-fiction, visual anthropology and social activism.

The programme is to be developed in Câmpulung-Muscel, a city chosen for its exceptional patrimony, suspended between traditional rural and post-industrial urban. The best 12 young students and professionals will be invited to take part for 15 days to the CINEIMPACT creative adventure.
The participants will be guided through this cine-productive exploration by 3 tutors (Ger Duizjings – anthropologist and maker of experimental documentary films, Prof. Regensuburg Uni, Manager of the Urban Laboratory – University College of London; Vintilă Mihăilescu – anthropologist and member of prestigious festivals' jury, Prof. SNSPA, Doctoral School Coordinator; Ionuț Pițurescu – director, producer and anthropologist, winner of the Quinzaines des Realisateurs/Directors Fortnight Award and special guest of the Cannes Film Festival in 2010, 2015, 2016, Ph.D. in Sociology and Visual Anthropology, Coordinator of the Film Production Development and Innovation Centre). Over the research, development, production and post-production stages, the participants will be inspired by the
master-classes hosted by expert guests. The film crews will be supported by production assistants with expertise in the respective investigated area. All 12 authors of the resulted films will be aided in building an optimum distribution strategy for their film projects. “Pattern or not”, one of the 6 films produced during the previous edition of the Film Academy, made by an international team made up of Dorottya Balczó (director and director of photography) and Andra Nedelcu (director and visual artist), was selected and successfully promoted in one of the sections dedicated to shorts (SFC) of the Cannes 2016 Film Festival.
The eligible candidates must have experience in one or more of the following areas: film directing, cinematography, film editing, visual anthropology, video-art, visual activism. The candidates may apply for the following sections: Art Cinema (films dedicated to Art House Cinematography) and Social Cinema (films dedicated to Socially Involved Cinematography). The best film projects within the two sections will be awarded within the closing event of the CINEIMPACT Summer Academy.
