820 films were entered to the Alter-Native International Short Film Festival, of which 767 were accepted for preselection.
The films received came from 59 countries, and another 16 countries took part with co-productions. Most of them were set from Russia, Germany and Spain. Hungary was represented by 42 films, of which 8 Romanian-Hungary co-productions. Romania entered into the competition 23 shorts and 3 co-productions.
The Jury a selected 47 films from 17 countries in this year's competition, which will include 27 fiction films, 12 animations, 4 documentary films and 4 experimental films.
Among the films to be viewed at Alter-Native 24 there are also shorts that already took part to important festivals, such as
Zero (produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender), and
Love, an animation signed by Bucsi Réka.
The complete list of the competition titles is to be published on the Festival's site in the first half of October.
