KINOdiseea Festival 2015

At its 7th edition, The 2015 KINOdiseea Children Film Festival is already an important event, with a complex program that includes films in competition and outside competition, workshops and a masked ball, that took place along a 10 days period of time.
KINOdiseea is a festival organized by the Metropolis Cultural Association, with the support of the Film National Centre, the Romanian Filmmakers Union, the Sector 5 Mayor House, the Creative Europe Media Programme and the French Institute in Bucharest. Besides the usual problems generated by the structure of such a festival, the organizers had one more thing to worry about – the restrictions regarding the cinema houses, so, they launched a petition for solving the present situation of these institutions.
The theme of the film selectionfrom this year, made by Ligia Keșișian Mitulescu was “The Forgotten Magic of the World”.
A new section was added, for teenagers, ”Teenagers in Focus”, because the viewers from the first editions grew up, but they remained loyal to the festival.
The general director of the festival, the producer Daniel Mitulescu, admits that in our country there is still a lack of new film productions for children, but also that Romania is known to many film lovers from other countries thanks to the films directed by Elisabeta Bostan.
Among many workshops for children, we must mention the editing ones, held by Eugen Kelemen, Iulia Murgu and Roxana Szel, and also one on costume design and set design one, held by Viorica Petrovici.
