Graduate of the Institute for Architecture „Ion Mincu” (class of 1974). He is a professor at the University for Theatre and Cinema. Member of the Romanian Filmmakers Union.

Friends and colleagues call him Dodu so you may find him as such on the film credits.
Publishes “A Subjective History of the Set Design” Ed Coresi,2004, his Ph. D. thesis.
In 2008 he publishes the volume “Bucharest- a Shooting Set” (Ed UNATC)
