“Sieranevada” - Romania’s proposal to the Academy Awards

     Sieranevada, directed by Cristi Puiu, is the Romanian proposals for The Best Foreign Film Academy Award, according to AGERPRES.

     The Jury that selected the feature to represent Romania at the Oscars was made up of film critics Dana Duma, Magda Mihăilescu, Eugenia Vodă, Mihai Fulger, Andra Petrescu, Irina Trocan, Lucian Maier, Florentina Ciuvercă.
     Sieranevada was internationally premiered in the official competition of the Cannes Festival and domestically premiered at Transilvania International Film Festival. The film will be released in Romanian theatres on 9 September.
