Special screenings of “The Mill of Luck and Plenty” and “Orizont” at BUZZ CEE 4-8 May) 


     Starting on Wednesday, 4 May, and until Sunday, 8 May, the first Edition of BUZZ CEE is to unfold in Buzău, a film festival dedicated to Central and South-Eastern Europe cinema.
     On this occasion, over 50 de full-length features, documentaries and shorts coming from this European area will be available for viewing. The winning features of the 3 competition sections will be awarded the trophies: Long BUZZ (full-length feature), Real BUZZ (documentary) and Short BUZZ (short feature).
     The first Edition of BUZZ CEE will open with Highway to Hellas (directed by Aron Lehmann, Germania, 2015), and among the Romanian films present at the festival are the following: București NonStop (directed by Dan Chișu), Usturoi (Garlic) (directed by Radu Bazavan), Youtube Bazaar (directed by Dan Chișu), as well as the two adaptations after the short story by, “The Mill of Good Luck”: La moara cu noroc (The Mill of Luck and Plenty) (1955, directed by Victor Iliu) and Orizont  (2016, directed by Marian Crișan). There will also be a special screening of the first Romanian 3D film, Dopul scuză mijloacele (The Cork Justifies the Means) (directed by Mihai Ionescu).
     The screenings will be held for five days in three central locations of Buzău: Cinema Dacia 3D, „George Ciprian” Theatre Hall, and the Hall of Buzău County Council. Admission to all screenings within the Festival will be free of charge.
