Cinepub premiere: “Kapitalism – Our Secret Recipe”

     The documentary directed by Alexandru Solomon, Kapitalism – rețeta noastră secretă / Kapitalism – Our Secret Recipe, in the new online premiere on the Cinepub platform dedicated to Romanian cinema.

     “Imagine that Ceauşescu returned 20 years after he was executed and his regime overthrown. Imagine that he would compare the state he left the country in then with the state it is now. Imagine that the former communist dictator would see that those who have built the capitalism are some of those who had been close to him at one time, and that in general Romanian only think of money, cars and consumerism,” Alexandru Solomon stated.
     Screened at IDFA (International Documentary Festival of Amsterdam) and at Sarajevo International Film Festival, Kapitalism – Our Secret Recipe is a Romanian documentary envisioning an imaginary return of Nicolae Ceaușescu in Romania, after twenty years of capitalism. Dan Voiculescu, Ioan Niculae, George Copos, Dan Diaconescu, Dinu Patriciu and George Becali are only a few of the people followed in the documentary, at their homes, during business meetings or on yacht cruises.
