“Charleston”, Screened in Vilnius, Vienna, Istanbul and London


     This spring, while waiting for the Romanian premiere in June, Charleston, Andrei Creţulescu`s feature directorial debut, continues its touring the festivals.
     On March 28, 2018, Charleston will be screened as part of the international competition of the “Kino Pavasaris” Vilnius Film Festival  that reached its 23rd edition.
     In April, the Romanian film will be part of the debut competition at the Let`s CEE Vienna Film Festival and in the “Young Masters” section of the 37th edition of the Istanbul International Film Festival.
     On April 22, Charleston will be screened at the Closing Gala of the 14th edition of the Romanian Film Festival in London; the event is organized by Profusion International in partnership with Curzon Cinemas and with the support of the Romanian Film Centre.
     Charleston is the bitter-sweet story of an absurd love triangle made of two men and the woman they both lost; it`s un unconventional love story, with some retro vibe, a pop cocktail spiced up with black humour, emotions, an eclectic soundtrack and even a dancing interlude.      Charleston is a Romanian-French production – ICON Production and Les Films du Tambour, made in coproduction with Mille et Une Films and Wag Prod, with the support of the Romanian Film Centre, The Group, Publicis Groupe, Region Bretagne, Rennes Metropole, in association with Kinosseur, Wearebasca, Digital Cube and with the participation of HBO Europe. The producers are Velvet Moraru, Marie Legrand, Rani Massalha și Andrei Crețulescu. The international sales agent is the French company Versatile. The media promotion is made by ROLLERCOASTER PR.
     Charleston, about which Cineuropa says that “it`s fairly rare for a Romanian film to have such large audience potential”, had its world premiere at Locarno, as part of the official competition of the  2017 Locarno Film Festival. The distributor for Romania and Moldova is Kinosseur; the film will be released in cinemas on May 8, 2018.
