Making Waves: New Romanian Cinema 2016

     Romanian Film Initiative and Jacob Burns Film Center announces the selection of the 11th edition of the Making Waves: New Romanian Cinema, which will take place from the 1st until the 8th of December 2016, at the la Jacob Burns Film Center.

     Making Waves brings two titles of the official selection of the Cannes Festival,  Graduation (directed by Cristian Mungiu) and Sieranevada (directed by Cristi Puiu), as well as two other Romanian films, Illegitimate (directed by Adrian Sitaru) and  Scarred Hearts (directed by Radu Jude), which received awards  in Berlin and Locarno.
     In addition, Making Waves will also screen Dogs (directed by Bogdan Mirică) and Two Lottery Tickets (regia Paul Negoescu), as well as the documentary Cinema, mon amour (directed by Alexandru Belc).
United States of Love (directed by Tomasz Wasilewski, Polonia) will represent the invited country of this year`s edition of the Making Waves, Poland.
