Lemonade (2018)

Mara, a young Romanian woman, has just moved to the US with Dragos, her 9-year-old son, marrying Daniel, an American she has met only a few months ago. The film follows her through a series of revealing encounters during one day, from her problems of babysitting, her unplanned and uncomfortable meeting with a U.S. immigration official, to dealing with the police about her son she had to leave in a motel room and the bank issue for a loan with her husband.

„O cunosc pe Ioana din 1994, când am început amândoi şcoala de film în Bucureşti. Am scris împreună un scenariu, care ne-a adus prima călătorie profesională la Los Angeles, în 2000. Am tras două concluzii din asta: eu m-am întors şi am continuat ca cineast în România, Ioana s-a mutat în SUA, a absolvit USC şi şi-a luat doctoratul în cinema. În ciuda distanţei, conversaţiile noastre despre cinematografie au rămas la fel de vii ca acum 20 de ani”. (mobrafilms.ro)
