She is only four when she appears for the first time on stage in the part of the child in the opera “Madama Butterfly”.Starts singing pop at the “Grivita Rosie” house of culture being discovered by Ileana Pop. In July 1960 she appears for the first time on TV in Valeriu Lazarov’s show “Everybody is Enjoying Sports”. Her first hit is “The Calling of the Sea” especially composed for her by George Grigoriu , in 1960.She gets a part in the play “The Threepenny Opera” directed by well known stage director Liviu Ciulei , thus marking her debut in theatre. Two years later she makes her debut in cinema with The Tunnel (Best Debut Award at the “Mamaia Film Festival”)

Starting the 60ies I had the same question on my mind when, one day, I heard an unusual voice singing. A deep, harrowing voice, impelling you to answer to the “Calling of the Sea”. The voice’s owner, to my sincere surprise, was that of a teenager, still in college…I did not imagine at that time that she will link her name to cinema. Maybe she should have done it more often…

A Film with a Charming Girl was not distributed accordingly. However it’s director,
Lucian Bratu, did see in Margareta not only ” the charming girl” but also the intelligent actress capable to manage the stardom myth. Followed

Elisabetei Bostan who distributed her in a number of roles (the Enchanted Fairy, the Governess etc…) parts that gave her the opportunity to display her joyful and ironc spirit alike only to remain forever in her audience’s memory….” (
