Graduate of the “ I. L. Caragiale” Institute for Theatre and Film , class of 1963, professors
Ion Șahighian and David Esrig. He makes his debut at the “Mihai Eminescu” Theatre in Botosani. Back in Bucharest, he is first part of the “Nottara” Theatre and Comedy Theatre teams and then, as an actor, director and deputy manager at the “I. L Caragiale “National Theatre. He is an academic at the university he graduated from, first as a lecturer(1967) and professor(1991) and then as the Dean of the Theatre Faculty (1997). He is a Doctor Honoris Causa of the “ I. L. Caragiale” University for Theatre and Film (2017).
