  • Born: 21.07.1955 in Dăeni (Tulcea)
He starts by studying philology in Iasi. He interrupts his studies in the ‘70ies and continues them after 1992, in Bucharest. In 1981 he emigrates to France where he attends a specialized course in video operation at Ecole Superieure ”Image et Son” in Paris. In 1991 he comes back to Romania and puts the basis of the DaKino Foundation and of the DaKino International Film Festival (first International Film Festival after the 1989 events in Romania)

Trivia

  • In 2004 he publishes the volume  “Alone Under the Shower” ( Nemira Publishing House, 224 pages.
  • In 2008 he publishes the novel “A Single Room in the Cranes Forest”(DaKino Publishing House, re-published in 2013 by ALLFA Publ.House , 184 pag).
  • Still in 2008  he publishes the recipe book in 2 volumes ”Recipes on a Pan’s Edge”(DaKino Publ House)
