Cristina Stamate about being an actress:
“ The truth is I was chosen by my trade,  not vice versa and I was encouraged since early childhood to become an actress. I studied at the Popular  School of Art , I took ballet lessons, I recited, sang, while studying for the Law admission exam. Two weeks before  this exam I said to myself: ” let’s try  theatre (exam for the Film and Theatre Institute), just in case, just for fun! I know people who returned ten times for this exam. I said to myself: It will be not my case! I didn’t want to lose not one day of this life, knowing that I will always know my way, I will always start afresh if need be and that I will always be perfectly good and  serious in any trade ”

Stela Popescu about the volume” The Humpty Dumpty Woman”:
When you read these pages it is difficult to add more humor. Even if I cannot enchant your ears with spiritual praise words she very well deserves, I am happy that , once more, Cristina did not disappoint me.
While on stage she is absolutely stunning, while explaining a recipe she’s full of funny sparkles, let alone the the poor dish. But to be able to write with such talent and humor about all that surrounds us, you will find it hard to believe.  Once more, she amazes us! And we need her so much! God created her on a Sunday, endowing her with hundreds of talents for which she should consider herself the happiest person in the world. But you won’t believe it, she does not even dare to pride herself in them, she gets discreet, happy only when she steals a smile. Stormy, vivacious, always in her best , full of humor and self irony, she opens by this book a window towards the world outside, a colorful world, a noisy and authentic one. The essays gathered in this book are slices of life, dedicated to our variety theatre , surprised in a tragic comic key, as on our stage. She has the vocation of loving all the beautiful things in this world, and for the so called human misery she shows irony but understanding too. She is a good friend, always there when need is, without expecting any rewards. I love you, Cristina and I will always wait with utmost joy to read your thoughts put on paper. Again and again…”
