  • Born: 12.07.1990 in Alexandria (Teleorman)
Graduated the University for Theatre and Film in Bucharest, Screenplay Writing section (2009-2012), class of  Professor Lucian Georgescu, and BARD College, in Berlin.
In the last four years she writes over 15 screenplays for shorts and is script consultant to Dublu, a feature directed by Catrinel Danaiata. She signs film reviews for magazines such as FilmMenu and The Institute, takes part in international training  programmes for screenplay writing (Sarajevo Talents, MIDPOINT, Apulia Film Experience, European Short Pitch etc.).Since 2006 she is founder and co-president of the Ideo Ideis  Young Theatre Festival that takes place in her native town, Alexandria and is sustained by actors Marcel Iureș and Jeremy Irons. She is a co-founder of the Pustnik residence for young screenplay writers.
 

Trivia

  • Her directorial debut, Blue Spring, was selected in the Official Competition of the Toronto Intl Film Festival, 2015.
  • She marks her debut as a play writer with the play “Why Don’t We Make It On the Road?” directed by Neil LaBute at Theatre ACT , in Bucharest and another play signed by her ”Ashes Afar” was in the competition of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
  • She is awarded the Best Play Award for ASHES AFAR at Bucharest Fringe Festival.
  • Awarded Forbes Prize for Culture Promotion in March 2013, in Bucharest
  • In August 2011 she becomes Citizen of Honor of her native town, Alexandria (Teleorman County).
