Graduate of the Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest (class of 1956) and of the “I.L. Caragiale” Institute for Theatre and Film, Photography Dpt.. Starting 1950 she is responsible with the NEWS JOURNAL, a weekly information footage of the “Al. Sahia Studio” for documentary films . She is the first woman director of photography in Romania . Member of the Romanian Filmmakers Union since its foundation in 1963. Was an academic at the Hyperion University.

“The editor fulfills through the function of editing a triple creative effect: 1) he creates movement through the alternation of the images 2) creates rhythm through the frames’ dimensioning 3) he brings about the idea through the plans succession.Thus, the affective element mingled with the intellectual one results in  the heart prevailing over intelligence, eliminating the notion of space in favor of the notion of time, as a rhythm of the film’s heart…We could say that, maybe, editing is the film’s soul" (Magazin estival Cinema , 1981)
