During 20 – 24 June, an intensive acting course will be held in Bucharest, delivered by Mihaela Mihuț.
ac Mihaela Mihuț has been an over 10-year member of the prestigious Actors' Studio in New York, as well as Professor with one of the most important New York acting schools - School of Visual Arts.
Mihaela hosted similar workshops in England, Greece and Estonia. She is an actress and an acting teacher of Romanian origin, living in New York for 25 years. Her favourite roles: Janine in
Perkins 14, Varia in “The Cherry Orchard” at Actors Studio with Ellen Burstyn, Sheena in “Off the King’s Road”, for which she got a review in The New York Times, and a role in
Selfie69, directed by
Cristina Iacob.
The importance of team play with your acting partner, how to work so as to mutually help each other, the methods, the understanding of film acting and how to act on screen, working with the text, video auditioning and the video footage the course attendants receive at the end of the class so that they may put it in their CV – are just a few of this class' basics.
The class attendants will have the opportunity to further develop their skills through various exercises, making use of the methods employed by the famous school The Actors' Studio of New York, which will provide the attendants with new means of approach, with risky choices allowing them to contemplate new rules, to let themselves be inspired and learn how to find inside them the character they have to play, and how to surface the respective character.
The class is organised by ZAZU Film, at the initiative of director Cristina Iacob, who is currently looking for actors for future projects and intends to train them for this purpose.
The workshop has 12 places, registration applications may be sent at: studio@zazufilm.com during 5-19 June, 2016, and the participation fee is RON 700. The classes will be held during 5 consecutive days, 5 hours daily.
