“Valley of the Blind”, in the Cinemas, from October 18, 2019


     The director Ion ionescu returns to big screen with Valley of the Blind / Valea Orbilor, which brings the historical events of the `40s, when the Horthyst Hungary takes over one part of Transilvania.
     Valley of the Blind brings forward subjects and historical times by presenting a story of love and death, emphasizing the frailty of the human existence. The story of a man who desperately fights to save the woman he loves, takes place during the horrible crimes that took place in the Transylvanian villages. Starting with October 18, 2019, you will be able to see the film distributed by Vision P.M. in the cinemas around the country, the first feature film that speaks about the events that took place in Ip, Treznea and Nușfalău.
     The screenplay follows the story of a Jewish Hungarian, Șandor (Andrei Stan) and of the Romanian Rozalia (Ela Prodan) who, in their attempt to escape and arrive on Romanian land, become the witnesses of these massacres.
     The director Ion Ionescu, the actors Ela Prodan, Andrei Stan, Irina Noapteș, Anca Similar and many members of the numerous artistic film crew will attend the gala screening in Bucharest, October 17, starting with 19:00, at Cinema City Cotroceni, in order to share with the audience the experiences they went through while shooting the film, during a Q&A session.
     Valley of the Blind / Valea Orbilor will be released in Romania by VISION P.M. starting with October 18, 2019 and can be seen in Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Sibiu, Botoșani, Ploiești, Timișoara, Târgu-Mureș, Petroșani, Craiova, Pitești, Reșița and Caransebeș.
