Three Romanian filmmakers selected for the 2018 LIM


     After a first successful edition in 2017, LIM | Less Is More - the European platform for project development of limited budget feature films supported by Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the European Union – announced during the Berlin Film Festival the selection of the participants for the second edition which will start on March 7, 2018, with a first workshop session, that will take place in Brittany (France).
     This year, a new group of scriptwriters, directors and producers from all over the world will be involved in a working process which intends to focus on pushing the creativity, discovering and developing new stories in the area of the limited budget film projects.
     Out of 350 applications from 65 countries, 16 film projects and their authors, alongside 10 young film producers were chosen this year. Among these participants, there are three young Romanian filmmakers as well: Octav Chelaru (scriptwriter and director), Alina Grigore (actress, scriptwriter, director) and Ana Maria Pîrvan (producer).
     The jury of the second edition of LIM which decided the list of participants was made of: Massimiliano Nardulli (LIM Head of Talent, Italy), Antoine Le Bos (LIM Artistic Director, France), Ana Agopian (scriptwriter, founding member of the Control N Association, Romania), Frans Lefever (representative of Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds – VAF Belgium), Robert Balinsky (representative of Polish Film Institute, Poland) and Anna Ciennik (representative of Les Arcs European Film Festival, France).
     LIM | Less Is More is structured around three creative residence workshops organized in rural areas (villages) in three different parts of Europe: Workshop 1 in Brittany(France), March 7-14, Workshop 2 in Transylvania(Romania), June 3-10 and Workshop 3 in Malopolaska(Poland), October 8-15.
     The working and developing process of the projects will be supervised by 5 script consultants: Marcel Beaulieu (Canada), Pierre Hogdson (Great Britan), Monica Rattazzi (Morocco / Italy), Miguel Machalski (Argentina) and Antoine Le Bos (France).
     LIM | Less is More is co-financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund(AFCN) and by the National Film Center (CNC).
