Transylvania International Film Festival announced several of the features included in its 15th Edition program (May 27th – June 5th, 2016), among which being the most recent productions signed by Alexander Sokurov and Terence Davies.
La Francophonie, directed by Alexander Sokurov, got to awards in Venice, where
11 Minutes (directed by Jerzy Skolimowski) was also screened.
Sunset Song (directed by Terence Davies) is the adaptation of the homonymous novel – a drama about a young girl searching for her way in life, somewhere in Scotland in 1932.
Two of the features Oscar-nominated this year for Best Foreign Film are to be premiered in Cluj:
Krigen (directed by Tobias Lindholm), about a commander accused of war crimes in Afghanistan after he made a controversial decision, and
El abrazo de la serpiente (Embrace of the Serpent) (directed by Ciro Guerra), the first Columbian feature to compete for the statuette.
