MIDPOINT INTENSIVE Programme has launched its call for entries at its 6th Edition designed for scriptwriters, directors and producers having short projects in development. Four short scripts will be selected to be rewritten over three days of creative training under the guidance3 of international trainer Csaba Bollok.

The Programme is being set up in cooperation by MIDPOINT Central European Script Center (FAMU) and CineMAiubit ISFF (UNATC).
All
required materials for application must be submitted in English to the e-mail address minimidpoint@gmail.com until 26 November 2017.
This year's generic theme is “Revolutions”, the participants being invited to conceptually explore it, being ggiven however full freedom of interpretation.
The following are deemed eligible to apply: teams of scriptwriter + director + (optionally) producer, film students (even those in their first year of study are encouraged to apply).
This year, MINDPOINT INTENSIVE will be held between 6-8 December 2017, in partnership with Midpoint Central European Script Center.
The four selected short projects will benefit from the guidance of international trainer Csaba Bollok. Bollok is scriptwriter, director and trainer with Midpoint Central European Script Center. He graduated the Hungarian Academy of Film and Drama in 1994, after a career in independent film. He studied cinema in USA and made films at the legendary Bela Balazs studio. His first feature film,
North by North (1999) took home the Hungarian Film Critics’ Prize.
Iska’s Journey (2007) won the Great Prize at the Hungarian Film Week was internationally premiered at Berlinale. Currently, Bollok has two cinema projects under development and is Professor with the Eszterházy Károly College, Moving Image Department.
Up to now, MIDPOINT INTENSIVE's Programme has developed more than 15 short scripts. The resulted shorts were selected to numerous film festivals or were nominated at dedicated national events, such as the Gopo Awards. Among the finished shorts, mention should be made of:

Ioana Mischie (coordinator), currently Fulbright grantee at the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts and by Emil Cătălin Vasilache (workshop producer), student with UNATC's Audio-Visual Communication Section.
