The year started with the project “
Super Ambassadors”. The Super representatives organized retrospectives and workshops in 18 cities and towns in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
The
Super–poetry workshops (over 100 submissions) followed, then the film, creative writing and photography ones followed. The photos made during the Photography workshop were published in the album “What you don`t
like” and the poems were published in the poetry anthology “I see myself from the outside”, released in May at Bookfest, at the British Council stand.
The new
Super Warm-up version, a series of multidisciplinary events leading to the festival itself, included a theatre performance of the Brainstorming group, one concert with five bands and teenage artists held at Macaz and the launch of the poetry anthology.
The
Super Pitch project, which finances film projects made by teenagers, reached its third edition and
Supercapitol, the project which includes video-poems sent by teenagers, organized in collaboration with Subcapitol, reached its second edition.
The Super Festival included seven film screenings at Cinemateca Eforie, one masterclass, feedback sessions with the jury (for the invited directors), the exhibition Eastern Europe, but also parties, maybe the best ones since the first edition of the festival, at Plant Village, MAcaz and Londophone, where the artists and the teenage directors had the chance to meet each other and start new collaborations,
The new element of this edition was that this year the festival had a special guest from France – Guillaume Massart, the director of the film
La Liberté, who was part of the festival jury. Guillaume also held a masterclass during the festival, included in the Romania-France season.
Among the screenings, a special section was included – “
Incidental Politics”, which presented films focusing on politics and social themes, such as migration, colonialism, the queer and feminist politics. This year, MozaiQ offered - for the first time – the award for the Best LGBT Film.
