From September 2019 until June 2020, five teams made of students – Bachelor`s degree or Master`s degree students – from UNATC will have the chance to make a documentary on a theme about refugees, with the support of three filmmakers from Romania -
Adina Pintilie,
Ivana Mladenović and
Vanina Vignal. The project is coordinated by a team made by a team formed of specialists from

UNHCR – the UN Agency for Refugees, One World Romania and UNATC Bucharest.
For 10 months, the participants of this program will take part in a series of workshops and meetings with Adina Pintilie, Ivana Mladenović and Vanina Vignal and will enjoy their artistic support during the entire period of drafting and making the projects. They will also receive the necessary equipment and the possibility to travel to places in Romania, in order to make the films. Last but not least, they will also receive the support of the UNHCR representatives from Romania, in order to know and understand the complexity of the subjects they are about to document by means of their films.
The five selected teams – including one director, one director of photography and/or a sound designer/ editor – will attend all the activities of the program. In order to be part of the project, the students sent applications, in which they presented the activity and wrote of few starting ideas for the new projects. 13 of them were selected to be part of the workshop and starting with Tuesday, September 24, they will go through the coordinates of the workshop, through all the stages of making the film: preparation and research to find the subjects, shooting and post production – editing, sound.
