“Sieranevada”, “Baccalaureate” and “Dogs” at Cannes 2016  

     Pierre Lescure (Chairman of Cannes Festival) and Thierry Frémaux (Festival's General Delegate) revealed today, 14 April, 2016, the films selected into the Official Competition of the Cannes 2016 Festival.

     Two much awaited-for this year Romanian films entered the official competition: Sieranevada, directed by Cristi Puiu, and Bacalaureat (Baccalaureate), directed by Cristian Mungiu.
     Câini (Dogs), directed by Bogdan Mirică, known for signing the screenplay and directing the HBO series HBO Umbre (Shadows), was included in the section Un Certain Regard.
