As part of the 2016 edition of the Bucharest Architecture Annual (4 July 2016 – 4 May 2017), UrbanEye will screen three films at Casa Universitarilor garden (46 Dionisie Lupu Street).
El barri s'ha de defensar/The Neighbourhood will Defend Itself (directed by Neus Ràfols and Cristina Mora - Spain, 2013, 53’) follows the struggle of one of the most picturesque neighbourhoods of Barcelona against real estate developers and tourist invasion,
74m2 (directed by Paola Castillo and Tiziana Panizza - Chile, 2013, 67’) tells the story of a social experiment on integration and understanding that took place in Valparaiso, Chile, and
Frei Otto: Spanning the Future (directed by Joshua V. Hassel, 2016, 60’) reconstructs the life and work of one of the most significant architects of our century, through his own eyes and words, but also through those of his contemporaries. The screenings are to be held on 12, 13 and 14 July, from 21:30.
The Thursday documentary,
Frei Otto, will be preceded by a presentation delivered by Vlad Moraru.
The three screenings are part of the UrbanEye Film Nights, held during the year in Bucharest and in the country. UrbanEye Film Festival's fourth edition will be held in November, in Bucharest.
