Cinepub is launching an invitation to a new
live event: an informal talk on life, objects and film with architect Șerban Sturdza and directors
Alexandru Maftei and
Alexandru Solomon, as a preview to the release on cinepub.ro of the documentaries
La un pas de eternitate / A Step Away from Eternity and
Viața de câine / Dog Life.
A Step Away from Eternity (directed by Alexandru Maftei), is a journey through the paintings and sculptures made by the Storck family's artists, exposed in their studio-house, a Bucharest architectural landmark.
Dog Life (directed by Alexandru Solomon) is depicting a totally different world, a Bucharest that is “disfigured, close to anti-utopia. A town of open spaces and emptiness. A town belonging to dogs and full of desolation,” (a text by Mircea Cărtărescu, v.o. Victor Rebengiuc).
The talk will be held on Thursday, 27 October, at 19.30, online (Cinepub.ro) or offline, at Frederic Storck and Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck Arts Museum (16 Vasile Alecsandri Street).
