“The Match”, special screening at Elvira Popescu Cinema

      The short The Match (directed by Mihai Pîrcălabu) will have a special screening on Tuesday, 4 October, from 21.00, at Cinema Elvira Popescu. The film will start at 21.45, until then talks with the guests being held.
     The Match presents the story of Lutu, a brother owner, who is organising together with Pistol Pete, a big mobster from New York, the world championship of illegal boxing attended by delegations from the USA, UK and the former USSR. After many discussions where Pete tries to fix the boxing matches, Liuba, the most valuable prostitute in Lutu's brother, and also the Romanian fighter, beats her opponent thus changing the entire fate of the championship.
     The short is a student film produced by UNATC, together with Castel Film Studios, Videolink, Cutare Film, Arte Vizuale Foundation, Commitet and Opticflavor.
     Director of cinematography is de imagine Hasu Dragan-Adrian, and producer Adrian Pîrcălabu. The song “Motherfucker” was composed by Radu Almasan especially for the film.
