The shorts from Next Out in Space and Best of NexT reach Iași, between 2 – 3 August


     After Piatra Neamț, the NexT Films Caravan reaches Iași, the second en route city this year, stopping in the Palas Parc Garden, where viewers will be able to spread their blankets on the grass for open-air cinema.
     For the third year of the NexT Films Caravan in Iași, and for two nights 2 and 3 August, the viewers will have the chance to enjoy together 13 shorts of the two programmes: NexT Out in Space and Best of NexT.
     Tuesday, 2 August, will be the night of NexT Out in Space, a true audio-visual experience and a journey to another time and space populated by aliens, robots and genius scientists. Out in Space proves that a SF movie does not need to be long in order to be captivating: Attack of the Giant Brain Sucker Monster from Outer Space / L’Attaque du monstre géant suceur de cerveaux de l’espace (directed by Guillaume Rieu, France, 2010, 19'), Chasm (directed by Joel Benjamin, USA, 2015, 12'), Clones (directed by Rafael Bolliger, Sweden, 2015, 13'), Deadly Drive-in Disaster (directed by Arjan Wilschut, the Netherlands, 2015, 3'), They Will All Die in Space (directed by Javier Chillon, Spain, 2015, 15'), Silente (directed by Paco Ruiz, Spain, 2015, 9'), A Robot's Tale / Tristes Déserts (directed by Stephanie Winter, Austria, 2015, 8'), Yuri Lennon’s landing on Alpha 46 (directed by Anthony Vouardoux, Germania/Sweden, 2010, 15’).
     Wednesday, 3 August, is reserved to Best of NexT, five films granted awards and applauded at the 10 NexT editions, with touching stories about parents and children: Tomorrow, Bach... (directed by Mihnea Andrei Ciorică, Romania, 2013, 31’), Junior (directed by Julia Ducournau, France, 2011, 21’), The Swing of the Coffin Maker (directed by Elmar Imanov, Germany, 2012, 30’), Aglaée (directed by Rudi Rosenberg, France, 2010, 19’) and Excursie / Excursion (directed by Adrian Sitaru, Romania, 2013, 19’).
     After Iași, the Caravan's route will continue to Vatra Dornei (5 – 6 August, Parcul Municipal), Cluj-Napoca (8 – 9 August, Iulius Parc), Brașov (11 – 12 August, Aleea de sub Tâmpa), Sfântu Gheorghe (13 – 14 August, Parc Elisabeta), Sinaia (15 – 16 August, Parc Dimitrie Ghica), Timișoara (17 – 18 August, Parc Muzeul Banat Timișoara), Arad (19 – 20 August, Parcul Eminescu), Oradea (22 – 23 August, Parcul Cetății).
