The Itinerant Portuguese-Language Film Festival (FESTin) selected the film
Fault Condition / Scurtcircuit (directed by
Cătălin Saizescu),
awarded at the 2017 Shanghai Film Festival for “Mostra Latim” - the new section which presents films produced in Romance languages countries.
Melania and Emi, two high school students that are about to become parents, are forced by their mothers to give their baby to adoption to a Romanian family settled abroad – in fact it is a framed selling of the baby through a clerk. Only one day after the premature birth of the baby, in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit occurs a devastating fire.
The cast of the film includes pe Oana Ştefănescu, Georgiana Saizescu, Valentin Popescu,
Nicodim Ungureanu,
Magda Catone, George Ivaşcu,
Dorel Vişan şi
Maia Morgenstern.
On March, 1, starting with 19:00, the screening will take place at the “Manuel de Oliveira” hall of the famous São Jorge cinema in Lisbon, the place of the grand premieres and important film encounters in the Portuguese capital.
