For three days, between 15-17 September, 7 Romanian producers will have the opportunity to present their cinema projects to their peers from Spain and Mexico, within a professional meeting set up by the Autonomous Community of Madrid and by the Madrid Audiovisual Association, in cooperation with the Romanian Cultural Institute in Madrid.

This initiative, carried out under the title “Ventana del Cine Madrileño”, intends to encourage cooperation and feature films co-productions between Spain, Mexico and Romania. During the three days of meetings, there will be events such as presentations of funding procedures specific to each country, round tables and debates, but the core elements will be the co-productions' forum where 21 cinema project proposed for financing will be presented to the guest producers.
From Romania, the following cinema projects under various development stages were selected by organisers:
Gomera (directed by
Corneliu Porumboiu),
At the Side of the Moon (directed by
Tudor Giurgiu),
Never Let It Go (directed by
Paul Negoescu),
Zavera (directed by
Andrei Gruzsniczki),
Cărturan (directed by Liviu Săndulescu),
Otto Barbarul/The Barbarian (directed by Ruxandra Ghițescu) and
Shadow and Dream (directed by
Hadrian Marcu). The Romanian delegation is made up of the following producers:
Anamaria Antoci (4Proof Films), Alexandra Denisa Badea (42km de Film),
Iulia Târnovețchi (Alien Film), Bogdan Crăciun (Libra Film Productions), Liviu Săndulescu (Mandragora), Paul Negoescu (N-Graphix și Papillon Film) and Ioana Drăghici (Saga Film).
Director Tudor Giurgiu, on location in Spain for the first shoot to his latest feature inspired from the novel
Apropierea/Getting Close by Marin Mălaicu-Hondrari, will share with those present his working experience with Spanish producers. Dorina Oargă will spoke to the Spain and Mexico guests about the Transilvania International Film Festival from her position as the Festival's industry manager.
