Between 29 July and 7 August, 2016, within the 8th Edition of the Râşnov Historical Film Festival (FFIR), 15 students and master students passionate about history will be given the chance to attend, free of charge, the courses of ASTRA Summer School.

In order to qualify for one of the available places, allowing them access to all Festival's events and covering in full all their accommodation and transportation expenses, young people interested must submit until June 1st, 2016, to the e-mail address: mihai@mioritics.ro, a CV and a short essay (maximum 1 page A4, Times New Roman, 11) on the topic: „What film subject from the period 1945-2015 would you choose?”, indicating: „Which is/are the

event/the story/the characters? How do you motivate your choice? What message would you like to convey through this?” The participants must be aged between 18 (or to turn 18 at the latest on 28 July, 2016) and 26, and to have medium or advanced knowledge of the English language.
The main topic approached within the Summer School and during the Râşnov Historical Film Festival will be „(R)Evolution”. The partners of the Summer School are the Institute for the Investigation of Communism Crimes and the Romanian Exile Memory, the Romanian Institute for Current History and the Calea Victoriei Foundation
