The Retrospective Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest is anticipating the Festival's 8th Edition to take place between 13 - 22 October 2017 in Bucharest, and which will bring in premiere in Romania the most awaited-for titles presented this year at the Cannes Festival (17-28 May).
Saturday, 20 May, under the title “Les Films de Cannes 16/17. Retrospective/Warm-up”, the viewers will have the opportunity to watch seven of the most appreciated films of the Festival's 2016 edition. The screenings will be held at Grand Cinema & More, where the movies will be introduced by film critic Raluca Durbacă, at Cinema Elvire Popescu and Farmer Museum Cinema.

Forushande /
The Salesman (directed by Asghar Farhadi), winner of Best Screenplay and Best Actor at Cannes 2016 or
The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki, the debut by young filmmaker Juho Kuosmanen, rewarded at Cannes with Un Certain Regard. There will also be screenings of the films
Only the End of the World (directed by Xavier Dolan, Grand Prix, Cannes 2016),
The Maid (directed by Park Chan Wook) or Slack Bay /
Ma Loute (directed by Bruno Dumont), both present in Cannes 2016 competition and having preview screenings on May 20th, and
Elle(directed by Paul Verhoeven), which brought the protagonist Isabelle Huppert the Golden Glove for Best Actress.
