[RE]TRACING – the Dance Marathon at LINOTIP

20 of the best short films presented at the 2-18 edition of the Bucharest International Dance Festival can be watched during the film marathon dedicated to the dance films – [RE]TRACING. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 19, at LINOTIP – Independent Choreographic Center (Bucharest), starting with 19:00.
[RE]TRACING, the dance film marathon, presented by the Bucharest City Hall through Expo Arte, invites the viewers of all ages to open a gate towards another reality, where the perception is altered: the time accelerates, the gravity creates a surrealist ground and there is a dispute for sincronicity.
Films, such as Through the Supermarket in Five Easy Pieces (Finland), Competing for Sunlight: Ash (Austria), BOOKANIMA: Dance (South Korea), Insan (France), Business Is Brutal (Great Britain), Guenni (Germany) and A Flood Remains (Holland) explores, thrillingly and energetically, the values of the contemporary world, while productions such as Laws of Motion (Denmark), Room (South Africa), Night Dancing (Great Britain), Vanitas (Brasil), Time Subjectives in Objective Time (Finland), Adieu (Czech Republic) and Competing for Sunlight: Oak (Austria) create a gate to another reality, measure the space with gestures and measure the space with gestures and catch an irrational, sometimes dangerous world.
The selection made by the choreographer Simona Deaconescu, the artistic director of BIDFF, brings local productions to the dance film marathon, projects that demonstrate that the boundaries between the artistic genres and the generations are fluid: DépaysementNonStop TMUnchainedNext Revolution, Please!States Uprootedjam da koakaz and Never Ending.
The screenings will be followed by a Q&A session with some of the filmmakers of the productions that will be presented during the event. The access is free.
