The 13th edition of Anim`est opens with
Another Day of Life, a production of the multi-awarded Polish studio Platige Image, starting with 18:30, at the Eforie Cinematheque.
Starting with 12:00 and 14:00, the Elvire Popesco Cinema welcomes the little ones to come meet the famous Professor Balthazar, the main character of one of the most popular animated series produced in Croatia 50 years ago.
The first two groups of short films from the
Avant-garde & Experimental retrospective, films that explore new limits in animation, grouped chronologically – from the pioneers of animation filmmaking to nowadays productions – can be watched at the Elvire Popesco Cinema starting with 16:00 and 18:00.
North of Blue, the abstract animated feature film directed by Joanna Priestley was nominated for the Crystal Award at the 2018 Annecy. It pays tribute to the mysterious frozen landscapes of the far north. The film is scheduled on Friday, at the Elvire Popesco Cinema starting with 20:00.
