The Ministry of Culture and the Romanian Order of Architects - OAR signed the co-operation protocol for built heritage.

The protocol sets forth as objectives the improvement of the legislation on protection of historical monuments, the promotion of a quality contemporary architecture and the improvement of the built heritage.
Thus, the protocol encourages both the cooperation of architects with the County Culture Directions with a view to render more efficient the application of the law and of the norms on the built heritage protection, and the drawing up of detailed inventories of historical monuments and buildings throughout the country. Among the medium- and long-term objectives, there are a series of policies applied for the protection of built heritage in rural areas, for the training of craftsmen in traditional restoration techniques and for the digitalisation of architecture archives.
