
The film presents the dramatic history of the Romanian State treasury deposited in Moscow during the First World War, in 1916 and 1917. The Foreign Affairs Ministers of Romania after 1990 testify to what they actually done in order to recover the Treasury of the National Bank of Romania, though the said Treasury has never been recovered.
The event will be opened by Professor Doctor Manuela Cernat, and by historian Marius Oprea. Admission to screening will be free of charge, within the limits of available seats.
Among the members of the crew are: Dan Necșulea and Alexandra Orban (script), Dragoș Imireanu and Mihai Oprea (cinematography), Sebastian Chelu (editing), Cornel Ciuleanu (sound post-processing and editing), Radu Bânzaru and Alexandru Repan (reading) and Ada Vertan (producer).
A Century without Treasury is produced by Astra Entertainment, Amica, Dinamic Film and Scharf Advertising, under the sponsorship of the National Filmmaking Centre.
