On Thursday, 26 May, at 18.00, at the headquarters of the Romanian Cultural Institute, 28 Aleea Alexandru, the preview of the documentary feature Wings and Stars. At the Gates of the Sacred. George Tzipoia 70 will be held.

The film was made by Marilena Rotaru within the TV series “Romanian Exile Memory”, distinguished with the
Jubiliara 25 Award by the Romanian Television Professionals Association.
Admission to the event will be free of charge, within the limit of available seats.
George Tzipoia, son of painter Alexandru Țipoia, was born in Bucharest on May 6th, 1945. In 1967 he graduates the Plastic Arts section of the Bucharest Pedagogic Institute, class of Professor Traian Brădean. From 1968 to 1982, he exhibited his works to numerous collective exhibitions set up by the Romanian Plastic Artists Union, whose member he became in 1974. In 1982, he emigrates to Switzerland, in Geneva, asking for political asylum, and thus retracing backwards the road of his great-grandfather, Louis-Adolphe Leyvraz (1820-1892), who settled in Bucharest founding here the Swiss colony in 1839.
The film will be broadcast on Tuesday, 31 May, at 19.00, on TVR2.
